ORLEN Termika S.A. is a producer of heat and electricity for the Warsaw metropolitan area, generated using the efficient method of cogeneration. Warsaw’s combined heat and power plants and heating plants, along with the facility in Pruszków, collectively produce 11% of all heat generated in Poland, with the Siekierki Combined Heat and Power Plant being the largest facility of its kind in the European Union. ORLEN Termika S.A. has committed to sustainable development. New production units, such as gas, biomass, and electric boilers, as well as heat pumps, will gradually replace worn-out coal-fired units so that by 2035, ORLEN Termika S.A. can completely phase out coal-based production.
